Teen Son of Podcaster Lindsey Kasten Charged in Fatal San Rafael Stabbing
Authorities in San Rafael have charged three teenagers, including the son of popular American podcaster Lindsey Kasten, in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 44-year-old man in December.
One of the suspects, identified as 17-year-old Noah Boasso of Petaluma, has been in custody at Marin County Juvenile Hall since December 17, 2025. He and two other juveniles were arrested and charged with homicide following an investigation into the killing.
According to the San Rafael Police Department, officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting an assault near the intersection of Mill and Hoag streets in the city’s Canal neighborhood. A police drone was deployed and reached the scene ahead of officers, helping guide emergency responders to the injured victim.
First responders treated the man at the scene before he was transported by the San Rafael Fire Department to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of his family by the Marin County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators later identified the three Petaluma teens as suspects. Over the course of two days, authorities located and apprehended all three, booking them into juvenile detention on homicide charges. Police have not ruled out the possibility that the attack may be gang-related, though a definitive motive has not yet been established.
Kasten publicly acknowledged her son’s detention in an emotional statement shared on social media. She described the situation as “unimaginable,” writing that her family is grappling with the reality of the case and its lasting impact.
“My oldest, who gave me permission to share, has been detained in Juvenile Hall since December 17, 2025,” she wrote. “We await his sentencing… We are trying to find our footing. What life looks like now, for a while anyway—nobody gets to be who we used to be.”
The case remains under active investigation as authorities continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter.
